Yesterday, I received my author copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Young at Heart! It's always a thrill to receive books and this volume carries one of my all-time favorite stories, "The Beauty of Age Spots." Let's just say that I have a different take on getting older than most people. There are no moans and groans from me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be alive every day. When you've survived a life-threatening disease twice, you look at signs of aging differently. It's a gift.
So, you won't find me getting Botox, lip fillers, or a facelift. I'm keeping all my signs of aging. I'm at the doorstep of 70 years of age and it's thrilling. I never expected to make it this far. Every day is a celebration of life and feeling "young at heart."
